Publish and schedule videos to YouTube

Many businesses make the same short videos for Instagram and YouTube. Riplo lets you send a video to your own YouTube channel from the same dashboard, now or at a time you choose, so you upload it once instead of twice.

Now or later

Publish it at once, or pick a date and time and Riplo uploads it to your channel then. You see the link when YouTube has received it, and you can cancel a scheduled video until it goes out.

What access Riplo asks for, and why

Riplo only adds the videos you send: it cannot read, change or delete your existing videos, comments, playlists or channel settings. When you connect YouTube, Google asks you to allow:

  • Manage your YouTube videos: upload (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload) — used only to upload the video you chose, with the title, description and privacy setting you entered, at the time you chose.
  • Your email address and basic account identity (openid, email) — used only to show you which Google account is connected.

Riplo stores the access Google gives it encrypted, uses it only when you start an upload, and deletes it when you disconnect YouTube or close your account. The video file waits on our servers only until it is published: at once, or at the time you scheduled (at most 180 days ahead). It is deleted as soon as YouTube has received it. If an upload fails it is kept for 3 days so you can try again; an upload you never finished is deleted after 24 hours, and one you cancel is deleted at once.

Riplo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Details are in our privacy policy.

By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. You can remove Riplo's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page or by disconnecting YouTube in the Riplo dashboard.

Common questions

Can Riplo post to my channel without me?

No. Riplo uploads only a video you chose and set to go out, now or at the time you scheduled, and you can cancel a scheduled one before then.

Can Riplo see or delete my other videos?

No. The only permission Riplo asks for is to upload. It cannot read, edit or delete anything already on your channel.

How do I disconnect YouTube?

Press disconnect next to YouTube in your Riplo dashboard, or remove Riplo from your Google Account permissions page. Either way, Riplo deletes the access it held.
