Data deletion instructions

You can stop Riplo from accessing your Instagram account, and you can ask us to delete the data we hold about you, at any time. There are three steps. The first two end Riplo's access straight away. The third deletes your data.

1. Disconnect the account in Riplo

  1. Sign in to the Riplo dashboard.
  2. Open Settings and go to your connected Instagram account.
  3. Choose Disconnect.

Riplo deletes the account's access token at once and your automations for it stop. After that, Riplo can no longer read or send anything for that account.

2. Or remove Riplo from Instagram

  1. In Instagram, open Settings and go to Apps and websites.
  2. Find Riplo and choose Remove.

This cuts Riplo's access immediately. Riplo will show the account as disconnected and stops working for it.

3. Ask us to delete your data

Disconnecting stops access; it does not by itself delete the data we already hold, such as your conversation history. To have it deleted:

  1. Send an email to hello@riplo.co with the subject Delete my Riplo data.
  2. Send it from the email address you registered with, or say which address that is, and include the Instagram username or usernames concerned.
  3. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we delete anything, for example by asking you to reply from your registered address.

We confirm your request within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. When it is done, we email you a confirmation.

What is deleted

Your Riplo account and workspace; the Instagram connection and its token; automations, flows and uploaded media; contacts, conversations and messages; lead forms and follow-ups; sign-in sessions.Payment records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires. A minimal security record where needed to prevent abuse or to meet a legal duty. Deleted data can remain in backups until they are overwritten; we do not restore it except to recover from a failure.

If you messaged a business that uses Riplo

If you commented on or messaged an Instagram account that uses Riplo, and you want the comments and messages we hold deleted, email hello@riplo.co with your Instagram username. We will delete what we hold for you or pass your request to the business that controls the account.
